Featuring Eriks Garsvo, director of the Owyhee County Museum, and Ken Ham, CEO of Answers in Genesis, “Owyhee Summer” journeys through the rugged Owyhee Mountains region while exploring some of its history, wildlife and geology from a Biblical perspective. This breathtaking desert region spans over 8,000 square miles, and boasts beautiful rivers winding through jagged volcanic rock, colorful desert canyons, and arid sagebrush steppe. Native Americans, fur trappers, gold seekers, adventurers: all have traversed the land for centuries. Today, a wide variety of God’s creatures dwell in the unique environments of the secluded Owyhees, and its incredible geologic features conceal rare thunder eggs, fossils, and petrified trees.
